Rafa Benitez hailed the battling qualities of his Liverpool players as they came back from the brink of defeat to reach their third Champions League semi-final in four years with tonight’s 4-2 (5-3 aggregate) victory over Arsenal at Anfield.
‘I was delighted with the belief of my players, particularly in the second half,’ he said. ‘We had been so poor before the break, but so much better in the second period.
‘It was a tremendous game for our fans, there were six goals and we played so well.

Stars shock Ducks for 2-0 series lead

Mike Modano and Brad Richards scored 55 seconds apart in the third period as the Dallas Stars shocked the Ducks 5-2 and a crowd of 17,181 at the Honda Center on Saturday night.

Mayfield was never contacted about the switch so he may have seen his last start at Everham Motorsports. Putting Bill Elliott in the car does guarantee a spot in the field for Ray Everham.
Don’t look for Mayfield to be back and some rumors have him going to drive for Michael Waltrip and Toyota. No matter what happens it looks like he won’t be back with Everham Motorsports.

Eddie Guardado shelved by Rangers

Guardado, 37, has pitched just 17 times, including twice this season, since undergoing Tommy John (elbow ligament replacement) surgery in 2006.
Defenceman Denis Grebeshkov re-signed Monday with the Edmonton Oilers.
Financial terms of the one-year contract were not disclosed.

Keegan has said that his signing will only be quality signings, and one of these signings he would like to make is Peter Crouch.
The stories linking Michael Owen with a move away from St James’ Park continue but Keegan remains convinced that Owen will stay with the Toon and he is now looking to pair him with his England colleague for next season. They have worked well together for their country, so now Keegan wants them to work well for their club.

Was this related to the obvious shock among the team at seeing Eduardo's leg break, or is it a more general sign that they are starting to feel the pressure?
OK, so you could argue that Birmingham shouldn't have had their free kick or their penalty, but it was still an unconvincing display by the Gunners, who have been playing great football for much of the season.
