The next step in the exchange of power in the golf swing is allowing the hands to release during the impact position. Most golfers don’t know what the term release means. In fact most golfers, thinking logically will misinterpret what the hands are doing during the impact position.

Most feel the club has to square at impact but feel they should manipulate the hands to achieve a square clubface for as long as possible thru the hitting zone. In reality the clubface is only square to the target line for a split second and in reality they are open to the target line till the last second then close to the target line immediately after impact. This movement causes the hand to RELEASE thru the impact zone. Great news you don’t have to do anything to make this movement happen except keep your centre still and maintain your flex angle.

A look at this years League Two end of season run in, or squeaky bum time as our more sensitive fans call it.

As of yesterday, with County winning at London Road and Wycombe holding MKDons to a draw, this is what the top of the table looks like.

I stumbled upon this report today, released by the SportNation "think tank" (in November 2006), using research commissioned from Loughborough University, into the question of whether children born later in the sporting year are missing out on selection and development opportunities.

The answer to this appears to be a pretty resounding 'yes'. One sport that showed signs of ucking the trend was swimming, who have introduced more 'age on the date' competition. But sports like football, cricket, athletics, basebal and tennis, for example, showed clear signs of the Relative Age Effect.

The Ottawa Senators allowed 72 power-play goals during the regular season, more than any playoff team in the Eastern Conference. Knowing that, the Pittsburgh Penguins took full advantage on Friday night.

Ryan Malone scored twice in the final 62 seconds as the Penguins prevailed 5-3 over the visiting Senators before a raucous crowd of 17,132 at Mellon Arena on Friday night.

With classic amateur psychology I`ve been distracting myself. With the new baby ‘Oxide now a sturdy 3-month-old that`s not as tricky as you`d imagine but there are still momentary lapses.

The majority of the talk on the message-boards recently has been about who we can and will keep for next season. Talk of ‘relegation release clauses` in contracts is worrying to say the least, not to mention a little short-sighted if true.

The optimist in me says: “Of course Kevin Lisbie will stay. The only reason he`s hit the first real scoring run of his career is the regular football he`s getting at Col U.” That voice says: “Johnnie Jackson was with us in League One a couple of season ago, why would he leave now?”

We at Vital-Chelsea have a source inside the club, who we spoke to regarding Frank Lampard’s very late pull out of the squad for tonight’s hugely disappointing draw at home to Wigan that must surely have put paid to any lingering title hopes we may have had.

Our source revealed to us that Lampard was on the teamsheet but did not get changed. Everyone else got changed for the warm up and Lamps was supposed to follow but did not for reasons unknown.

“The next time a photographer shoots a f***ing picture, I’m going to break his f***ing neck.”-Tiger Woods to a group of photographers at Doral on Saturday.

I must admit to being a touch perplexed by the interest in Tiger Woods’ foul mouth and his display of anger on Saturday during the third round of the CA Championship. It isn’t like he hasn’t done it before. I remember Woods clearly uttering “motherf***er,” while snapping a ball into the ocean at the 18th at Pebble Beach during the U.S. Open, for example.

The NHL’s top power-play unit during the regular season sputtered along hopelessly through 60 minutes of regulation, but finally clicked when it mattered most — in overtime.

Alex Kovalev scored the overtime winner to give the hometown Montreal Canadiens a 3-2 win over the Boston Bruins Saturday night in Game 2 of their Eastern Conference quarter-final.

Juande Ramos has said that he can take Tottenham Hotspur into the champions league but insists that this will only happen if he is given the right finances to invest in the side.

Perhaps this is the strongest indication so far that he does not believe the current squad are good enough to do so. Or is Ramos managing expectations?

Ramos has accepted that the resources available to the top four teams will make it very difficult for any other teams to qualify for the champions league.
