Many people were wondering why Butler would enter a tournament with the likes of Indiana, Tennessee,Gonzaga, and Notre Dame. It’s real simple they planned on winning it and that’s just what they did. The team no one thought had a chance pu;;ed the major upset Of Gonzaga 79-71 to capture the NIT championship in Madison square Garden.
This may not seem like alot right now, but it goes along way when you start league and tournament play. The bulldogs know they can play with the best teams around and all this does is give them more confidence to have a great season. Remember the name Butler Bulldogs you could hear it alot this season.

I received a call this evening from an athlete that wanted some help.
So, I did what I would normally do. I asked her what was happening and instigated a conversation.
After about 15 minutes we started to explore some of the practicalities - where was she, could we meet etc.
At that point she made an interesting comment. She said that she had called a few people and only felt that she'd clicked with me. This wasn't the first time I'd had a comment that suggested we were developing rapport already, and I was genuinely interested to know: What was different about me?

Do you have a booth at this weekend’s Toronto Star Golf Show? If not, why don’t you? It is the first big golf event of the season and you just know that all of the city’s most avid golfers are going to be there, their appetites whetted for the coming season.
Okay, you’re no dummy. You do have a booth at the show. But why do you have a booth at the show? What do you hope to accomplish with a booth at the show? Are you trying to encourage membership? On the same night Miikka Kiprusoff had his worst-ever playoff outing, Curtis Joseph returned to the playoff stage and reminded everyone why he was once considered one of the best post-season goalies in the game.

That's what the golfers who've made the "Champion's Leap" after winning the Kraft Nabisco Championship are called. (Quick aside: Doesn't every city in America have a ghost story of some sort about a supposed 'Lady of the Lake' apparition?)
The Champion's Leap is so ingrained in the lore of the Kraft Nabisco Championship, and is such a recognizable part of women's golf, that it's surprising to realize just how recently this "tradition" was established. And how difficult it was to Read more... »
Butch Harmon finally booted John Daly out of his stable of high-profile professional golfers after Daly “made a circus” out of the PODS Championship.
The last straw for Harmon was pulled as Daly was seen carousing behind a Hooters tent during a rain delay. John started his round 3 over-par and ended with a 77. Drinking beer and autographing the derrieres of women obviously fare better during corporate events than when big money and position are on the line.

This weekend Manchester United put themselves into pole position to retain their Premier League title after beating Liverpool 3-0. They are now five points ahead of Chelsea and six ahead of Arsenal, after Chelsea came back to defeat the Gunners.
What can we expect of the run-in? What is the psychology involved? Well, as anyone credible will tell you, we're not in the business of mind reading, and the only way to know is to ask those involved, but here are my thoughts as an external observer.
