Milltek's Audi R8 being dyno tested to obtain the standard power figure before exhaust development
This video shows Milltek Sport's new Audi R8 on the dynamometer to test power figures prior to exhaust system development. This is done to provide accurate power and torque gain figures for Milltek exhaust systems.
You can see the AEV (Active Exhaust Valve) in action. This valve opens and closes to control the sound coming from the exhaust. The idea is to keep the noise to a minimum when cruising or driving slowly and to open the valves to increase the sound when you "Give it some!".
Although the noise of the dyno is quite prominent, you can hear the standard exhaust noise when the valves open at high rpm.
