Preview: Owls v Plymouth

Wednesday will be looking to make it lucky number seven in their search of a vital win which will help them in their battle against the drop, with former boss Paul Sturrock bringing his promotion-chasing Plymouth side to Hillsborough in front of the SKY TV cameras.

The Owls have drawn their last six games in the Champioship which have left them in the thick of the trouble atn the wrong end of the division, and Owls boss Brian Laws will be desperate to bag a crucial three points.

The man looking to dent the Owls’ survival bid is none other than former boss Paul Sturrock, who is sure to get a superb reception from the Wednesday faithful after Sturrock helped Wednesday to promotion from League One in his first season in charge before helping Wednesday to survive in the division at the first time of asking and getting the chop the following campaign.

Sturrock has taken over from former Argyle boss Ian Holloway at Home Park and has taken the club to within reach of a play-off spot this term, and will be just as desperate for the points as his opposite number.
